Innkeepers .... for Thayer's outstanding contribution to Minnesota's Lodging
Industry and Thayer's was voted one of the top #3 Bed & Breakfast's in the nation, offering Murder Mystery
Dinners!

Guess
what? Thayer's is listed in the TOP 10 BEST HAUNTED PLACES TO STAY in the
entire United States!!
We are in another new book!
Ghost Cats:
Human Encounters with Feline Spirits by Dusty
Rainbolt
and
we are included in Chad Lewis' 'Haunted Locations in
Minnesota' it's a travel guide...
and we are in A Ghost in My Suitcase by
Mitchell Whittington also a travel guide.
and we are in Ghostly
Encounters by Frances Kermeen. All the books have
some
fun stories about us.
There
are many things to see and do when you stay at Thayer's B&B; You can have a
Psychic reading done, get into character for a Murder Mystery Dinner, enjoying a ghost hunt right here
or you can go snowboarding
or down hill skiing
at near-by Powder ridge or go for a walk and enjoy the many lakes that
are within walking distance. Antique shopping is fun and we are not far
from the Albertville shopping Mall.
If we don't have a
Mystery or a dinner scheduled, there are many nice places to eat in the
area, dinner clubs, sports bars and restaurants are all close by.
Originally built as a Rail Road Hotel,
Thayer's, with its unique galleries, (porches) has been the focal point of this beautiful
area since
its
construction in 1895. Annandale,
Minnesota has been known as the place to recreate since the 1890's and still offers beautiful lakes, golfing,
boating, fishing and swimming plus hiking and birding
in Lake Maria State Park.
For antique
lovers, a vast assortment of well stocked antique shops are close
by and for power shoppers, the Albertville
discount outlet mall is about 25 minutes away.
Thayer's is proud to be listed on the
National Register
of Historic Places; privileged to have enchanted guests and a colorful
history!
We
provide our guests the very best in
old and new because we want your stay in Thayer's exquisite surroundings to
be the very best getaway you have ever had at a B&B. Why
? Because we want you back often!
Satisfied and happy to be return guests!
The
Ghost
Hunting 101 classes are doing well... they are informative and fun!
book them for
a group or just you. I have the scheduled dates listed on the
activities
calendar by month.
Our
Interactive Murder
Mystery Dinners have changed a bit. This year, a B&B stay
is necessary to attend a scheduled Mystery Dinner. You
can request 2 night
Mystery Dinner B&B package or add Mystery Dinners to your
one night stay.
If you prefer not to
stay, you may set-up a private Murder Mystery Dinner with as
few as 12 people. Here is the link for
private
events.
Just
know that I do believe in
the three basic food groups - butter, sugar and chocolate!!
But, I
think it might be a good idea to
mention to those of
you not as familiar with me and Thayer's that I do know how to be health conscious;
I can prepare foods that are
heart healthy, vegetarian, Vegan and foods for special
diets -even macrobiotic, all you need to do is give me 48
hours advance notice and anything is possible... With
the advance notice, I can comfortably
accommodate special needs. Please tell us what you are looking
for when you reserve your stay... cause if you are looking for or want
healthy, I'm actually good at preparing it.
Having your wedding here is a great way to have a celebration
that is elegant, personalized and totally yours... and I just
put together a new
Paranormal 2 Night Package that's really great!
A lot of people have been reserving this package for their honeymoon...
Isn't it great? Now
you can get married here, get a psychic reading, and celebrate your honeymoon
and not have to leave Thayer's.
Later, Sharon

PS: The gardens are
happy! Below is a photo of one of our fountains. Thanks to
all of you that work so much to have the garden lovely, pretty
and fine.
