Arrington's Publishing - B&B Journal " She
knew in advance that I was coming to visit her. What's so unusual about that?
All innkeepers expect people with reservations to arrive on schedule.
But
Sharon Gammell of Thayer's Historic Bed n' Breakfast in Annandale, Minn., is a
noted psychic and reads Tarot cards.... Unfortunately,
plumbing is beyond the pale for her. After two devastating, plumbing-related
floods (the first causing hundreds of gallons of water to collapse the kitchen
ceiling within a matter of minutes; and the second happening a year after
rebuilding and just two weeks short of the grand reopening), Thayer's is once
again operating. The new Thayer's is better than ever, with the charm and grace
of the restored building and the old ghosts. My
visit was highlighted by comfortable accommodations interspersed with great food
and entertaining tales. Thayer's is as well known for its exceptional breakfasts
and interactive mystery dinners as Annandale is for its 25 lakes, picturesque
state park and golf courses". (by Leta Arrington - Arrington's Inn Traveler)

night ... Times photo by Kimm Anderson, kanderson@stcloudtimes.com Thayer's
Historic Bed 'n Breakfast owner Sharon Gammell says ghosts visit the inn from
time to time. One of them is believed to be the man in the portrait at the
right. During a murder mystery dress-up, a guest asked about the costume of a
well-dressed, good-looking man upstairs. There was no such man registered. Times
