Every
Murder Mystery at Thayer's is interactive which means
that everyone
attending becomes a character.

Private
Mystery Dinners work
with 12 (minimum) to as
many as 45 guests.

The
Murder, Mystery and meal all happen together so, while you are enjoying Sharon's great food, the
Murder Mystery is going on too.

We
supply 2 actors to assist in your Murder Mystery Dinner

We do not have a liquor license.
You are welcome to bring in wine, for your personal use,
to be enjoyed in your guest room.

We
suggest Murder Mystery Dinners begin around 6:30pm to 6:45pm.

Murder
Mystery Dinners last about 3 hours, depending on
how many guests are attending.

Private
Murder Mystery Dinners include: Murder Mystery theme, era, the
food, you
select the menu and exclusive use of Thayer's dining-room during your
event.

Murder Mysteries are designed to have fun with so... please,
relax and don't
get excited about mistakes. Thayer's Mysteries are
designed so that they are fail safe.

could be the dirty dog, killer... but, just because you are, don't
assume you are protected... we have
been known to knock off a killer now and again!...

began doing Mystery dinners in 1993 and we have the honor
of being voted one of the top three B&B's in the
entire USA that offer Murder Mystery dinners!

Here are the
Murder Mystery themes
and eras we have available. Some of these titles can
be set in a different era, so please ask about changing
the era, if there is a Mystery theme that really
interests you.

Select your Mystery Dinner Menu or have Thayer's Owner
and Chef, Sharon Gammell,
customize a Mystery Dinner menu for you; with a
customized menu, dinner will cost more.
Planning for a Private
Mystery Dinner:
-
We
suggest that you plan your Private Mystery 3 or more weeks in
advance - but, sometimes we can fit in last minute
requests.

When
making arrangements for others, we need everyone's
names and addresses that will be attending because...
-
Prior to
your mystery dinner date,
(about 8 to 10 days) we mail each person participating an information packet
- that is a Personal and Confidential Character Profile
- it includes a full
character description and costume
suggestions.

Depending on the
Mystery you select, many times your costumes can be put
together with items found in your closet.
-
You
may tell each other what your character's name is and most
certainly you can help each other put costumes together, but,
please DO NOT tell
anyone what your character knows until you get to the
mystery.

DO NOT read anyone else's
Confidential
character information.

Murder Mystery Dinner Pricing Information:

For a private
mystery dinner no matter what size the group is, or what mystery
you select, the cost is $85 per guest plus tax.
-
Yes, the $85 price
includes the service-gratuity.
-
Yes, dining room rental
is included in the price - Most mystery
dinners last about 3 hours.
-
6.5%
MN sales tax is automatically added.
-
Murder Mystery Dinners
do not work well as a surprise outing. When
looking to surprise someone..., we suggest our other Entertainment
for a fun Surprise.

A
minimum charge of $550 applies to all private events - excluding sales tax, automatic 20% service gratuities,
actors or additional
entertainment.
-
All
Private Events are secured with a $2000 down payment or full
payment, which
ever is less. Balance due 30 days prior to event.
-
As
payment we accept VISA, MASTER CARD, and
AMX, personal and company checks .
-
When
payment has been received by Thayer's, the date is
secured. Once secured,
dates are not-exchangeable.
-
We
do understand that unforeseen things and emergencies can happen; we
will work with you as best we can.
-
Children
under 16 years may not attend a mystery.
-
If for some
unforeseen reason it is necessary for Thayer's to cancel
a reservation, Thayer's is responsible to return to
the original purchaser only the full amount paid to Thayer's.
