 'Joan's Retreat' is a hideaway with a writer's desk, beautiful remote controlled electric fireplace and a queen sized hand carved Sugar Maple bedroom set. Do you have a liking for purple roses, peaceful gardens and medieval history and ghosts?  This larger guest room will get your attention.   

The stunning antique art over the fireplace mantle is Jeanne d'arc.  Most of the framed art in this room is done in silver point, by Barb Salser.  Silver point is  an art form popular in the 1400's and Barb is one of very few people trained in this art form. Barb is also great at drawing dragons!  The private bath has a pull chain commode and a claw footed tub with shower. Guests tell us that the ghosts really like this room!

All stays include: Thayer's exceptional four course breakfast served in the dining room at 9:00am. Each guest room has a hair dryer, digital radio alarm clock, shampoo & conditioner, facial soap, bath gel, toothbrush, hand lotion, shower cap and sewing kit. Every guest room has air conditioning. An iron and ironing board are available upon request.
